Sigh. Sigh.

I didn't care about this episode either way. I didn't like it, but I'm not enraged by it. Well, okay, I am a little enraged. I thought the plot was silly. I don't like that Miss Evangalista had to be ugly in order to be smart. I didn't like how River and Donna's ideal worlds = kids. I don't like that River is speshul enough to know the Doctor's name, for whatever reason it was, marriage, sex, he says his own name when he tells a particular joke that he only tells to people he really really likes, whatever. I'm usually impressed with Moffat's episodes. Even though I didn't like all of GitF, I thought it was well written. This two parter was just really disappointing. It wasn't scary, and the way he got rid of the monsters was lame and abrupt.

I doubt that River will come back, but she is locked into the Doctor's future now no matter what, and I don't like that. I don't like the inevitability of it and how Moffat made it so his character will be in the Doctor's timeline as a super speshul person no matter what, and he didn't even have to develop the fucking character. That really fucking pisses me off. I also don't like the idea of a Who OTP, I may like other pairings more than others but I think they're all pretty equal as pairings go, no one is more special, and now Doctor/River is pretty damn close to a show OTP.

Well, since DW canon is so a la carte, I suppose I can just forget it happened.

I wish I could look forward to Moffat taking over in 2010, but I just can't. He hasn't changed his formula for his episodes at all, and it's just coming off as lazy.

I'm also looking forward to next week's ep. I need a proper DW episode, one that makes me squee the way the beginning of the series did. Plus we're heading closer to the end, and if RTD messes that up it's going to ruin a great deal of things for me. He better not.
