I decided to search for some Harvey Dent/Bruce Wayne fic because I ship them so hard, and I haven't seen any yet, but I've seen a lot of Joker/Batman fic. I'm not surprised that there's so much Joker/Batman fic out there, I'm just surprised that that ship does not appeal to me at all, even though everything about them should hit my kinks.

No, you're probably right. I mean, they have a history, and they complete each other, but I think the closest they'll ever come to any kind of sexual engagement is if one of them 'got off' on strangling the other to death while straddling their torso until their insane cackle faded.

Yeah. Just like that. But really, only in that scenario. And yes, one might automatically put the Joker in the death position, and it might only work that way, but something would be oddly satisfying on a disturbing level if it was Batman laughing hysterically as the Joker finally got the better of him. I guess since it would probably be a "what was all this craziness for?" type of realization.
